Schuck Jewelers believes in supporting our local community as well as the international community. Environmental community commitments begin with the practice of using "green" solutions in the repair shops when possible. In addition, they are committed to the recycling of precious metals to avoid the problems associated with the mining of new metals. International community commitments begin with our community of suppliers. For example, Tri Gems www.fairtradegems.com/home/ is a supplier of colored gemstones who support the treatment of the miners and their communities as well as the earth with respect, and who have set up a program of fair trade gemstones as a model for our industry. Another example is our association with Sarah's Hope Jewelry http://www.sarahshopejewelry.com/AboutUs.html who support the cause of giving hope to women from around the world. This is made possible by supporting small business microloans to help fulfill the dreams of women to rise above their economic level by supporting their families and their communities through business opportunities. Local community commitments begin with giving of our time and giving back financially to the local communities that support Schuck Jewelers as a business. We support, as possible, the many local charities, churches, schools and organizations that support our local community. We expect to continue this endeavor in the future.
