For most of history all engraving was done by hand, today most engraving is performed by computers. From the late 1930s into the late 1970s, the pantograph engraving machine was the only type of engraving machine available on the market. All in store engraving is performed by a New Hermes pantograph. Engraving perform in the store on our pantograph engraver is usually delivered the following day after the purchase. For complicated engraving set ups or for large production runs, Schuck Jewelers use the services of several engraving companies which utilize the latest computerized engravers. Delivery times vary on this type of engraving. We also offer hand engraving services by several artisans. This art form is getting more difficult to offer as the years go by as it takes years of training and one must possess the talent in the first place.
