There are several elements within the art of "Jewelry Repair". Price is only one of the elements and it is not the most important one for most people when their item of jewelry needs service.

So what is the most important element in jewelry repair? It is TRUST. For most of our patrons trust is usually placed before price and the speed of the service requested.

Schuck Jewelers has been the Trusted Jeweler for jewelry services for nearly 100 years. Our customers, even after moving away from Bryan, return or send their repairs to us for service. We have often performed service on jewelry from our patrons even when they have moved as far away as Europe.

Today, most repairs are performed on site by goldsmith Lauren L. Bechtol. Lauren grew up in the jewelry business and was cleaning and polishing jewelry as a young boy. By the time he was 15 years old he was setting gemstones into Mother's Pins which were the rage at that time. After college and upon his return to the family business in 1973 his formal training began. Today he has over 35 years of experience as a trained goldsmith. Lauren trained under the tutelage of some of the most respected working/instructor goldsmiths at the time.

Our repair shop has tools which were actually used by George J. Schuck in 1916 as well as the modern tools required today. Interestingly enough, some repair techniques have changed very little over hundreds and even thousands of years. Although we perform most services in the shop, we are fully aware that there are master goldsmiths with specialized tools and experience which may be needed. So we have partnered with master goldsmiths who have the tools and the experience to perform any repairs required which may be beyond the capability of our shop and experience levels.

You can always trust us to protect your jewelry at all times. We will always treat your items of jewelry with care and respect, whether you just received it as a gift or if it is a multigenerational or family treasure.
